occassion (24) smock

This smock is a plaid shirt similar to the dashiki worn by men in Ghana. It is also offered in feminine versions. In addition to these names, the smock is also known as Bun-nw or Bana among Mamprusis, fugu or a batakari in the northern region, dansika in Frafra, or fugu or Banaa in Kusaal, both in the upper east. It has become more well-liked in the three northern regions, where it is worn by the kings. The smock, which has similarities to the faso dan fadi, the national clothing of Burkina Faso, comes from Ghana's three northern districts.

A smock and a Kente cloth make up Ghana's traditional clothing. Both smocks and Kente cloth originated in Ghana's northern and southern regions, respectively.
